DIRECT ANSWER

What will you learn in virtual-assistant training?

SchoolRegistry Academy’s Virtual Assistant course is an eight-week online programme for beginners and career changers in Nigeria. First, students learn inbox and calendar organisation, confidentiality, clear updates and scheduling judgment. Second, students practise task coordination and dependencies using personal and assigned team boards. Third, tutor-reviewed assignments, revisions and a final support-work assessment create evidence for a private portfolio. The October 2026 cohort follows a daily study plan with Friday live practice. Certification requires the published completion rules, full tuition coverage and an 80% overall result. The programme does not promise employment, clients or income, and it is not certification for third-party software.

BUILT AROUND PROGRESS

How the Academy supports your progress

01 / ASK

AI study support

Ask academic questions in the lesson player. The assistant uses lesson context but does not answer assignments or grade your work.

02 / ORGANISE

Practical task boards

Manage personal work and participate in assigned team tasks with columns, dependencies, comments and history.

03 / IMPROVE

Feedback and revision

Use tutor feedback, explain your changes and resubmit while the original and revised evidence remain available for review.

Your assessed portfolio is private by default. Sharing is optional and revocable. Available learning-media formats depend on the lesson; caption and low-bandwidth processing is still being completed across the library.

01WEEK 1Foundations+

What a VA actually does, the core tool stack, non-negotiable time-zone and confidentiality rules, and a full real-world morning managing a US executive's inbox and calendar.

Deeper Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 fluency, expense logging, travel booking, and clean document and meeting-note prep.

03WEEK 3Client Relationships & Multi-Executive Juggling+

Onboarding a new client from scratch, building a voice profile fast, and supporting more than one executive without ever mixing up their voice or their confidential information.

04WEEK 4Industry Specialization+

The different rhythms and tools a founder, a real estate agent, a coach or consultant, and an e-commerce seller each expect from a VA.

05WEEK 5Advanced Pressure & Confidentiality Gray Areas+

Handling a genuine high-stakes scheduling collision for an executive and a real confidentiality gray area under time pressure.

06WEEK 6Tools & Reporting Mastery+

Deep task-tracking fluency across Asana, Trello, and ClickUp, and building the weekly summary report a busy executive actually reads.

07WEEK 7Full Simulation+

Sustaining a realistic week's full workload — multiple inboxes, competing deadlines, and the remote-work discipline of running on US hours.

08WEEK 8Certification+

Written exam, a graded inbox-triage simulation, and a practical task-board and reporting exercise — pass all three to certify.

MAKE AN INFORMED CHOICE

Is this your
next step?

A good fit if you…

  • You can hold genuinely confidential information — a client's finances, a health matter, an unannounced deal — without needing to talk about it, even to friends, even when it feels harmless to mention.
  • You'd rather own a piece of someone's inbox and calendar and make the small decisions yourself than sit and wait to be told exactly what to do on every single item.
  • You're comfortable working hours built around someone else's day in the US — which for a Lagos-based VA usually means afternoon-into-evening local time, not a 9-to-5 you set yourself.

Plan for the practicalities.

A computer, headset, reliable internet, and a quiet place to practice will help you participate. Check the live-session schedule before enrolling.

Future US-client work may involve afternoon or evening hours in Nigeria.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Good questions.
Straight answers.

How much of someone's actual personal information will I have access to?+

More than you might expect. A real contract typically means delegated access to an executive's inbox and calendar, which means seeing financial figures, health appointments, and family matters that were never meant to be broadcast. Week 1 treats this directly, not as a footnote — confidentiality is one of only two things in this course with zero tolerance for a casual mistake.

Do I need an accounting or bookkeeping background?+

No. Light expense logging comes up in Week 2 as one small piece of admin work, not as bookkeeping. If a client needs real accounting, that's a different role entirely — this track is about protecting an executive's time and attention, not managing their books.

I'm in Nigeria. How does working 'US hours' actually work?+

You work around the executive's own day, not a fixed shift you pick yourself. The course's own working example, a Lagos-based VA supporting an Atlanta founder, logs on in her afternoon to catch his early morning Eastern Time. Week 1 also covers the mechanics in detail, since the continental US alone spans four time zones and getting this wrong is the single most common early mistake new VAs make.

When does the cohort begin?+

October 1, 2026 at 11:00 AM WAT (Nigeria). Confirm the recurring Friday-session schedule in your enrollment information.

Is a job guaranteed?+

No. The Academy develops and assesses skills. Employment depends on your performance, employer requirements, and available roles.

What does the fee include?+

₦200,000 covers this track. You can pay in full or in two ₦100,000 installments, with the balance due three weeks later. Review the handbook and checkout terms before paying.
