CFA Level II practice test

Level II is where the CFA stops asking standalone questions and starts giving you a case: a page of information with a set of linked questions attached. Every paper here is built in that format across the ten topic areas.

264 practice questions, 3 full mock papers, each 88 questions in 2 hours 12 minutes. Topic practice breaks the same bank down by exam domain, and the quick test gives you ten random questions with no account.

Every question is written to the CFA Institute Level II syllabus. These are practice questions in the style of the exam, not official past questions, and SchoolRegistry is not connected to CFA Institute.

The CFA L2 questions cover ethical and professional standards, quantitative methods, economics, financial statement analysis, corporate issuers, equity, fixed income, derivatives, alternative investments, and portfolio construction, weighted the way the real exam weights them.

Questions people ask

Are the questions in the vignette format?

Yes. Each paper is built from item sets: a written case with a set of questions attached, which is how the real Level II exam is presented. There is no standalone multiple-choice paper.

How many papers are there?

Three full item-set papers, each around the length of one real exam session, plus topic practice by study area. Counts and timings on the page are read from the live bank, not written into the copy.

Is there a quick test for Level II?

Not at the moment. Level II questions are all case-bound, so a random ten-question sampler would break the format. Topic practice is the short-format option here.

Are these official CFA Institute questions?

No. They are written to the Level II curriculum topic areas in the exam's item-set style. CFA Institute does not release live questions.
