Free Computer Training Scholarship for Teachers in Nigeria
Teachers in Nigeria can apply for one of the free places at SchoolRegistry Academy. Take the short computer courses for the classroom and the office, or a full career track if you want a second skill.
You will not be asked to pay anything at any point, including for course materials, practice exams or certificates.
What you get
The short course pool covers Computer Basics, Excel 1 to 4, Word 1 and 2, PowerPoint 1 and AI 1 to 3. That is mark sheets and class lists in Excel, lesson notes and reports in Word, slides for lessons and meetings with parents, and a first look at using AI tools well.
Every course is self-paced. You learn on a phone or a computer in the evening or at weekends, and nothing is live, so a long school day does not make you miss a class.
Schools can use a school nomination code. Add the code on the application form and your application is linked to your school. If your school has not claimed its page on SchoolRegistry, ask the head teacher or the bursar to do it.

Questions people ask
Can teachers apply for the scholarship?
Yes. School leavers, students and teachers in Nigeria who are 15 or older can apply.
Which pool should a teacher choose?
Most teachers choose the short course pool, which gives access to all 11 short courses. If you want to learn a new job skill, choose one of the ten career tracks instead. You can have one place, in one pool.
Do I need a laptop?
A phone is enough to start. A computer helps most for Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
