Is my file uploaded to be compressed?
No. The work happens on your own device. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else.
How much smaller will it get?
It depends on what is inside. A scan or a PDF full of photos can shrink a lot. A PDF that is mostly text may shrink very little. We show the exact before and after sizes.
Will it spoil the quality?
The Light level keeps pictures sharp and saves less. Balanced is fine for most email use. Strong is for when the size matters more than the look. Open the result and check it before you send it.
Why did it say it could not make my file smaller?
Some files are already as small as they can sensibly be. In that case we keep your original and do not offer a download that is no better.
