IELTS practice test online: Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking

Boarding Pass gives you IELTS practice you can do on a phone or a laptop. Reading and Listening papers are marked straight away, with the reason for each answer and an estimated band. Writing Task 1, Writing Task 2 and Speaking get AI feedback against the public IELTS band descriptors.

Start with the free Reading test, which needs no account, to see where you stand. Then sign in to work through papers by skill. Your history is kept so you can see which question types cost you marks.

The papers are original material for learners in West and East Africa. Every band you see is an estimate, not an official IELTS result.

IELTS practice test online: Reading, Listening, Writing and Speaking: questions

Is there a free IELTS practice test online?

Yes. IELTS Reading and Listening practice on Boarding Pass is free and marked straight away, and you can try a full Reading test without an account.

Can I get feedback on my IELTS Writing Task 2?

Yes. Paste or type your essay and an AI marker scores it against the public band descriptors for task response, coherence, vocabulary and grammar, and gives an estimated band with advice. Writing feedback uses a credit. It is an estimate, not an examiner's mark.

How do I practise IELTS Speaking?

Record your answers in the page. An AI assessor scores fluency, vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation against the public descriptors and gives an estimated band. Speaking feedback uses credits.

Where do I book the real IELTS test?

With the British Council or IDP. See our guide to IELTS fees, registration and test centres.
