These charts are built from numbers SchoolRegistry NG already publishes: our register of schools in every state, and the state education budgets we track. Each one names its source and the date it was checked, and has a table of the exact figures underneath.
Use them in a news story, a school newsletter or a class. Share a chart to WhatsApp, download it as a picture or a spreadsheet, or paste the embed code onto your own page. Please keep the credit line that comes with it.

Where the numbers come from
School counts come from the SchoolRegistry school register, which is generated straight from our database. They count the schools we have listed, not every school that exists, and coverage is better in some states than others.
State education budgets are compiled from BudgIT State of States reports, Premium Times annual analysis and state budget documents. We only chart a figure when a published source confirms it. A state with no published figure is left out, never shown as zero.
Every chart has a source line and a check date. If you spot a mistake, write to hello@schoolregistry.ng and we will fix it.
